THE DOOM OF INNOCENCE
An epic fantasy set in the same world as The Mighty Shall Rise, The Doom of Innocence (formerly titled The Serpent and the Scroll) is largely a sentiment about what happens when the full degeneration of moral and ethical decay takes its inevitable toll on a society––albeit in a once-held “illustrious kingdom/nation.”
Originally, both Doom and Mighty were one book (The Serpent and the Scroll); however, I came to realize that my ambition had grown too wide and that I was burdened with way too many characters, themes, and convoluted plotlines. Therefore, I split it in early February 2019.
Doom takes its inspiration from history, Nazi Germany, and a future (yet all too near) version of America, all tied up with common themes found in the Book of Revelation.
As of August 5, 2019, production has recommenced on The Doom of Innocence following the completion of the first draft of Swords Unhallowed––Part 1 of The Mighty Shall Rise. Stay tuned for future updates.
